    Haha. I ain't married lol.

I make money from tarping so I guess that guy thought I was only making money from mileage pay. I also don't make 32cpm, idk where he got that figure from.

Hey guys... I got a question. I wanna be an OTR driver too. Haven't started anything yet though... (still need to get a CDL to start with) and I got other personal stuff going right now before I can do anything... but for now I've been reading this thread and I think you guys are doing awesome! At first I was debating between Schneider and Swift, but after reading all your experiences with Roehl... Now I'm debating between Roehl and Schneider. :) I mentioned Schneider because I read from other forum that Schneider hires a lot of female drivers and has a lot of female trainers. What do you guys think with Roehl for a female driver and trainers? And also, one of the guys on this thread mentioned that there's a 70 lbs carry & lifting the tarp to shoulder height on pre-work screening... For a female like me and just 5'4 in height... :) I don't think I can lift 70 lbs to shoulder height... Will they send me home if I won't be able to lift?

Any inputs and suggestions from getting a CDL to orientation to training would be greatly appreciated.

And btw... for all NEWBIES on this thread... keep up the good work, enjoy and be safe on the road!
And thank you for this awesome thread... please keep up with the updates.

    :) Jae

If flatbed is what you want we do have a few female drivers that are trainers. As for the lifting 70lbs, I don't think so. The screening should only be about 45lbs, its a box with weight, to lift above your head.

Of course it may be different, when I did the physical test I was in the van division. I never had to do the flatbed physical part. I will say though, I got a hell of a workout my first two weeks lifting those tarps.

Depends. If I'm running a high mile load then I'll drive about 10-10.5 a day depending on where I find to park. If I have a 600 mile run for the weekend I'll usually run out 8 hours then finish up the other 3 hours or so the next day.
