Maybe you outta give ol Landstar a call cause seems they are requiring all new trucks leasing on to have EOBRs. Obviously you guys/girls over there runnin paper aren't doing your job just right. Now because a person doesn't know how to fill out a paper log doesn't mean everyone that does should be punished does it? I have a thought, ANY DRIVER THAT IS CAUGHT HAVING A LOG VIOLATION BE FIRED ON THE SPOT. If you can't do your job and fill out a piece of paper then we don't need you in this industry as we are supposed to be professionals.
Do you feel elogs should be mandatory or optional?

I am not going to now argue that they are needed because I have never once argued that they are needed. Again, did you actually read what I wrote? This thread topic isn't about whether they are needed. That question has nothing to do with this thread and is therefore irrelevant as I said earlier. As for my number 1 and 2 arguments being thrown out, I have no earthly idea what you're talking about as I don't believe I ever had a number 1 or a number 2 argument. I never had any argument at all. I have never said, that I think they're needed or that they work. I have only said I think they're coming whether anyone likes it or not. -
The only logical answer is optional or not in the industry at all.

that company drivers and mega carriers, who installed it in the first place, would start whining about how it isnt fair that everyone isnt bending over like them
if you want a computer to dictate your life, thats your call, why impose it onto others?
it is an even playing field, i drive a truck, you drive a truck
yours may be 500hp 13 speed, mine may be 475 automatic
yours may have EGR, mine may not
yours may have elogs, mine doesnt
the even playing field is the job we do, not the toys we have to do it7-UP Thanks this. -
is it an even playing field when ATA has politicians in their back pocket and individual drivers are not as politically influential, but have more integrity and hard-working?
