We just met the end of the summer, thru the Profession of Horse Shoeing, which he is "VERY" good at..............He went back to driving for the winter ( to pays his bills and saving up for his other Profession ).
I just wanted to share with you and yours. When I text him I always say, how thankful I am for his profession , that he is VERY GOOD at his job and send him lots of xxoo's , how am I doing so far?
I learned alot about him while we built new fence and barn roof this summer............He is a working machine...........but knows when its time to shut it down.
Just yesterday when he called me (we are trying to keep are spending to a reasonable total on our calls) He said several things.................
I don't even know what day it is.....................and I need some more sleep....................These are causes of concern for me, because .....he is very good at his work ethics............and I know that the driving and the miles can catch up, he has been on the road since Oct, with time off to go Elk Hunting............I know you have to get into a "Groove" almost when driving.........................so some sound advice would be helpful.....
You see ...........for the first time in my life I have met Mr Right! I am a very independant woman, a working machine also (to a fault sometimes) and my Profession does not include "Driving Over the Road" its horses.
So , because in my gut I know that this person understands me like no other , I want to be his "Best Cheerleader" for him while he is out on the Highway and Driving and Delivering , commodities , that the public rely on. I feel that Driving Truck is one of the Most Honorable jobs out there and is not respected enough ,by all that rely on the driver and his or her's truck.....................I support him in his choice for a job this winter , not because I like it (all it's hardships) but because he made the choice and shared it with me............................
What are some nice things a driver NEEDS and WANTS to hear from the people who love them back home...............with out sounding like broken record or a wuss............
I found this forum by surfing on the web thru the truck drivers weather maps and saw your add for the forum.................
Glad that you are out there .................... and I hope that lots of hugs and kisses get to all on the road.................Really appreciate every thing that is done for us , thru the TRUCK and its Driver..................most reliable TRANSPORTATION out there.......................

I dont drive but David was OTR well sorta still is.LOL
He trained a "friend" of his and they started dating after she got her own truck. Did NOT work out at all. Yes that was before I came into the picture.
No we are not married yet but plan on it. We have been together for over 2 and a half years.
I think you have to be open to meeting that special someone and not have an option list.
Where I come from, if I put standards I never would have even started talking to David. SO to say only drivers is putting limitations on people.
OK wait I might need to rephrase that line GAWD I hope yall know what I mean ...............oh well most know I am a wannabe
PPSSSTTTT Liltruck come on over to the ladies room. You are NOT being a wus or anything but a truckers S/O -
That is a cool story.
Do you remember what their tatoo's looked like?
