Didn't hear anything about bankruptcy, but I know they are doing away with their company driver jobs, and converting them to O/O and L/P positions.
-
I haven't heard about bankruptcy, but I do know they are in trouble. The investers they took on are not happy and are planning to sell the company. There is missing investor money too. To top it off, in order to save the most amount of money in wages, they're cutting the heads off the top tier, long-time employees, instead of letting the new hires go. Talk about loyalty. On the otherhand, I've heard from several of their employees awhile back and they said it wasn't a good company to work for then either. Most complain about the inept management.
Basically, the only way your job is safe there is if you own your own rig and don't speak english.

heard someone bring up there name and was intrested in any info.thanks.Walt

I've heard/seen the name. I believe they're out of Phoenix, Az. but could be wrong. Just saw one the other day on I-40 here in town. There could be more than 1 company calling themselves that name IE, Venture Transport/logistics/trucking/freight systems/whatever.

What type of hauling do they do?
Here along the Gulf Coast there are a couple companies that specialize in
oilfield transportation and Venture happens to be one of them. -
that's the one they haul oil field equipment.any info about them or the oil field work would be apreciated. thanks Walt
-
What would you like to know?
I actually lease to one of the other companies (there are 3 main ones) and work
is super slow right now. -
thanks for the reply.asking for a friend.he was told an owner oper could make good money with them.pulling pipe and equipment on flats and steps.and would just stay in a 500 mi radius.would hate to see him end up trying it and failing.I had also heard oil field work was good but diden't know if it was just for company or both. all info would be welcome.thanks walt
p.s also how is rock bucket work there.that was his other idea was to run my 32ft end dump pulling rock.thanks for any info... -
I have a buddy who works for Venture out of Azle , TX. He has expandable float and does well. But only on the specialized. Doesn't hardly mess with the other. I know he hauled a 12' wide x 68' load from Houston to OK City last week. Was about $3.40 a mile plus out of route and escort pay for OK . Regular skate freight is still hit or miss.
WallyGator Thanks this.
