I'm mainly a Northeast guy and 26 months in i'm probably going to clearly around 60K while being home 90% of the time on Weekends.. but i can tell you now, from dealing with these backhauls and sometimes screwed up sleep schedules i still feel like at times i'm underpaid but trust me if you came over you'll do fine here...
In other news, i netted about 1k running three Warners loads last week according to my direct deposit last night, something can't be right!!!
In more news, i don't know if you've guys had the safety meetings yet but yeah they want us to tone down a little bit on the information and descriptions of shippers and stuff on here, which i believe what we post isn't that bad and this is what the forum is for.. The information about what we're hauling and the rates i can understand but the bashing of shippers and receivers are justifiable!! That's what us truckers do, b!tch and moan about $h!t!!!!

With all things considered I am really enjoying my time here. Sure there are issues from time to time but that's mostly just trucking. When it's something I felt like me to address with upper management it has always been dealt with professionally and courteously. My miles then pretty consistent paychecks are pretty much the same all the time. Did have a great meeting with Mike weeks ago when we discussed revenue per mile and how to get mine up a little bit. Really appreciated his feedback! But I will say it has been an adjustment after moving on the company that struggle for miles but still a great change. As for equipment, I've only had 1 trailer issue what happened this last week . And that couldn't be helped tires just give out sometimes. There's been a couple issues with my truck but it seems to all go back to the same engine issues with Cummins. That being said I don't want a different truck.

Do get to go to Laredo once in a while. Well thank you for the info it's time for me to get a shower and head to Brooklyn -
As for moaning, lol, got into the final stop in gordonsville w-m, no dock yet, even though almost all the docks are empty, despite the guy who booked this load claiming we always get unload quickly here, think i was better off if they had kept me on the front royal delivery, they kept claiming this would use less hours on deadheading, except now they have twice as many dead head miles, had to cancel much of my plans for saturday after noon, i think giving a few people an earful is gonna be in order when i call in for the safety meeting, things havent been as bad here as my last company got, but this switching me onto something else at the last minute bs during the past couple weeks is driving me up the wall.

Maybe you guys should do your posting about shippers and receivers in that area, keep it out of here and don't indicate what company you are with. You also may want to start a new thread modeled on the Schneider chat room thread as well, this sub forum is for informational purposes on motor carriers. That will reduce people coming into your thread bad mouthing the company.
Just a couple suggestions guys, keep it safe. -
I think the two most important points on the info we post is not broadcasting where we are and what's on the trailer (freight theft), and keeping the freight rates obscure (competition doesn't need free Intel on what vw gets paid to haul stuff).
-
It won't matter where we post, there will always be trolls. Trolls get their jollys off that kind of "fun."
As for posting rates, I've never seen anyone post what our freight rate is other than what they are personally getting as a driver. Since its percentage that depends on what you specific percent rate is at the time. From my research we're about average. Back hauls and west bound freight almost always pays less in the whole industry.
I do try myself to usually be vague on what I'm hauling and for who. Not always but I do strive to maintain some safety on that front. My usual is what town I'm in and what town I'm going to. I do that though to alert any of my fellow drivers in the happy event we cross paths.

At home...checked into the shop......found that my truck was back in the yard....got a dispatch for monday morning near the cities...then from New ulm to the east coast....the thing is what about this super duper storm??? talked to Ron...and he says about every other call he gets is about the storm......soooo I don't know...
as far as my truck is concerned...it isn't too bad....it smells terrible though...you can even open the side boxes and smell cigar smoke....BLECH!!!! so I bought some febreeze...hoping it helps plus I have some good smelling stuff for a house...so we will see....doesn't look like I am missing anything.....but I did add a few winter things like a shovel...insulated gloves...etc...
