not for nothing, but really how great can it be at jbs???? after all they have a commercial that runs on satellite radio. god it seems to run in every commercial break..with that it cant be going all that well. after all a great company doesnt need to run commercials every 5 minutes. because they tend to keep drivers so no need to run the commercials. but anyways its nice not to be on reefers. for what you all may or may not sit on waiting for a load to come out of the meat plants. in one day. id be lucky if i sit that much all week. every now and then i get hit with a walmart dc load. and i know from jbs thats a hurry up and wait place. so if i dont get a walmart dry load. i sit very little..

well my rate at the horrid jbs carriers was .40/mile .10 per diem and .30/mile so with that.
2000x.40=$800
2500x.40=$1,000
3000x.40=$1,200
3500.40=$1400
i dont know about any of you but hell if im going to be away from home i should be making the $1400 per week otherwise whats the point? hell you can work locally and make $800 a week and go home everyday. but hell if making 800 a week makes you happy more power to you. i really dont think, well at lease for me. not living above my pay means per week has nothing to do with it. for me its about the time spent away from home and the pay that dont equal. if your going to sit for hours or days, and not be paid. i dont know about you but i much rather sit home and not be paid. versus sitting in a small ##### box truck and spending more money....its all bad with reefers. and someone else posted on here that reefer companies ought to pay more per mile, i couldnt agree with that more...Tennessee Trucker Thanks this. -
Here's what I don't understand...
People feel they don't get paid enough so they complain about it, yet they signed on with them or continue to work there. If you brought it on yourself, don't complain.Dinomite Thanks this. -
So who are you driving for now?
-
Thats why I dont pull em anymore.
-
Went to the steel mill to pick up a load of rebar yesterday, sat in a line of trucks for 6 hours............felt bad for the OTR guys but I didn't care at all cuz I get paid by the hour!.........GIGGITY!
-
There you go, I have my own truck now, and If the wait is over 2 hours I leave, there is always another load to haul for someone else

ive been doin good with jbs for the past month or so. My new dm has been treating me good and getting me better loads then the last one for sure. Ive been lookin for a new trucking job but almost every decent company i find there insurance is 150 a week where jbs is 50 a week so im just being patient at the moment and keeping my eyes open for something better.
Dinomite Thanks this. -
