The Gal is the Gallons they want you to get. Some times you will get less because its full. When we send in the message for fuel route we put our current needle markings. So if I have 3/8 then it will generate a route that allows me to put fuel in and tell me the gallons. The fuel stop is always on the route you are taking so for this one it says I 80 ext=exit 265 and 168 gal in which I think I only got 150.
exit number says 265 just in case its glared.

Called the receiver and she said"" DINO COME ON DOWN YOU ARE THE NEXT CONTESTANT ON THE PRICE IS RIGHT" Wait she said I could come in early and park there till my apt. Not in a big hurry so may stay here for another hour or 2. Have to stock up on a few items here just in case my stomach starts growling.

Well what a beautiful drive. First off I probably could of been here sooner but I didn't figure there would be so much construction through Columbus OH. I normally try to get on the other side of a city so I don't have to deal with traffic but figured since it was Sunday. I could park In London and breeze through Like I always do. Didn't work this time, but didn't hold me up 2 bad. Then it was a beautiful drive through the 2 lane on highway 16 with all the colors of fall on the trees. But it was rainy and grey and now I get to snooze the rest of my day away.
Security Guard was cool. Don't think they will be rushing me off the property when unloaded either. So I may stay here until I get a pre plan. Was going to drive 50 miles back to Hebron to get a trailer washout since I'm sure I'll have blood in this trailer. Do not know where next load will be picking up and may be the opposite way and I would have started my 14 hour clock. So hoping I can get a run to one of our plants and get a trailer wash out there. Have a great day and be safe.
Oh ya Gps did a good job but I guess wanted me to a scenic route of Coshocton. I followed the Google maps route and saved a couple of milesmje and Powder Joints Thank this. -

if you are relying on the company and the computer to tell you when and where you are fueling, you aren't truck driving, you are holding a steering wheel.
Trip planning is figuring those things out for yourself, making the best decision when and where to fuel and how much.
Understanding what your best base price is for fuel and will benefit your ifta at the same time.
Being able to decide, "I'm gonna take this two-lane here because it'll cut off 40 miles and save me having to drive through the major metro area."mje Thanks this. -
I have kinda followed this post for awhile now--and must admit for the most part--I thought it was a little over the top--BUT--That was looking at it in MY CASE--I thought to myself--I don't think I would be happy or comfortable working this way! Actually I would probably be uncomfortable working this way!
BUT It obviously works for Dinomite and his company--therfore IMHO it is a good thing--So I didn't see any reason to post my personal opinion--although I will admit--I actually had a hard time following all of it--but as I have stated many times in this forum--I have been doing this a looooong time! LOL--and am very set in my ways--Frankly MNDriver if your screen info is correct--as much as 5x longer than you--and if I have learned anything in that time it is that--What works for me may not work for you and vice versa! BUT as long as it works and the job gets done it's a good thing! Now going to the next level you discuss routing and fuel purchase and usage! As a former fleet owner--I can see some MAJOR ADVANTAGES to a LARGE fleet doing this--especially from and IFTA standpoint--Kinda like everytime I am in the Hoosier and see people buying fuel there and just shake my head! Then of course we could get into the compliance issues! So again while this system would make me somewhat uncomfortable--I can see multiple advantages to it--ESPECIALLY--for less experienced drivers--and this is supposed to be a section of the forum where newer drivers seek advice from those of us--including yourself--who have done this for a day or two--and I am sure from some of the responses to this thread people ARE seeing some value in it!
Just my $.02!Dinomite, scottied67 and mje Thank this.
