Going in person is always best. Things are real slow now compared to last year at the same time. So going through the HR department probably is best if your not from Alberta.

If you go to the main office the managers will shunt you off to online hr. The trick is to find the operations managers and supervisors and make a good impression. Even if they don't hire you they do remember you if they go digging through the crap pile of prospects hr forwards to them when they need a new hand.

Not too many posts here tonight, everyone must be out working?

I've started pasting all of Ft McMurray / Ft McKay and the Kearl region with my resumes, I also have an interview on monday at a different company than the one I am working now. I really like Sanjel as I've said but over the last year I've gotten the exp I need to start looking elsewhere. The other company should be a big win if I land it (I posted my resume online and the next day they called me 3x and emailed twice asking me to come in.. when I was up in wonowon)

I've also posted a job wanted on Kijiji - had 53 hits so far. What I -really- want to get into doing is haul truck / articulated rock truck work in the alberta oil sands. That is definitely where I would like to be. (suncor, syncrude, shell/albian sands etc - insanity money there)

Also, for those looking.. apply here, you'll never be unemployed, trust me.

I'm not looking elsewhere because of any kind of grievance at Sanjel.. wifes EI is going to run out in Feb and so I'm looking at some higher paying possibilities to cover up the shortfall.

    Mister Oil Patch Trucker,
Could you please give me some information about
    -getting there
    -my budget
-if I am short of money, do any company provide any financial assistence for relocation
-a copy of your resume or any successfull sample
-is really important to get all H2S, CPR, HB2, HazMat, etc. before coming there or the company could provide the training
For me it is about a month before comming there, but I have a fear about loosing this seson.
Send me, please, any important information and the answers of those questions to stasma.sm17@gmail.com Please!!!
I hope you can be the key person of the change of my life.
    Thank you.

non Albertans/saskatchewan/manitoba residents please dont come here. You easterners need to develop your own economy over there and quit coming here temporarily for our money then moving back after. ###########
