waiting for some clothes to dry, then off to the terminal to get ready for Jersery.. Hopefully traffic isn't too bad. Anyone have any ideal if the port is back up.. Someone said we were running all of these Ft. Pierce loads up to Johanna because the port is down and they need to keep the juice flowin..
I'm just trying to figure out if i should expect to deadhead back down to Florida, or prepare for Canada.. Everyone keeps saying the price of fuel is outright silly up there. -
Sorry for interrupting y'alls party but Socal, you're a fool to think that you can even try and talk all this bs about how many miles you can rack up toting around the IRT banner. I played the food-grade game myself years ago and when you're getting paid squat, you have no choice but to be creative and constantly run, run, run.
Numbers don't lie and yep, in my first 63 days here at Heniff I only made $11,298 gross for 18,258 hub miles, but eight of those days were spent off enjoying time with my family and friends. Not resets done on the road in a truck stop, not merely just passing through the house but actual, scheduled time off.
Point is Socal, YOU aren't grossing $5,600+ a month over there with quality home time, with good, affordable health insurance and a real benefit package to boot, and you never will. Especially not if you are running 100% legal by-the-book using an E-log. Yeah I know, you and so many like you are absolutely scared to death of that thing. Don't worry driver, it won't hurt you.....ROTFLMFAO! -
I worked at IRT when I was laid off from Reddaway.
So dont worry Driver I am back to my $83K a year job and home every weekend. I do not get on here and tout my job but you seem concerned for me that I am working to hard. So don't worry I am not. I go from L.A. To Las vegas then in Vegas I hook up a third box and Run Triples up into Utah. Then I sleep in a hotel and come back. I have a 3/2 bid which means I do 3 rounds one week and two the next. On a 3 trip week I gross $2,000 and on a 2 trip week I gross around $1400.
So thanks for your concern and keep driving that truck empty for free.
By the way what does a empty tank Last containing Haz Mat Residue Pay?? -
Don't get laid off again lol.
You being a teamster boy says it all. But yet ya wanna compare apples to oranges. How many non-union OTR outfits are going to give their driver the opportunity to make $65,000 a year and have a week off every month?
