    You really need to move to the Eastern half of the country. I would expect Sammons to have connections where you wouldn't have to haul hay. Hope it is paying the bills.

    i did good out that way the last few weeks good paying freight, i took this get home my wife is going in for surgery on thrusday...

    this load paid 2.10 a mile which for hay isn't bad

    Here are some pictures from when I used to run flatbed... It's been several years now since I have dragged around any type of flatbed/step-deck/drop-deck/stretch-deck etc...

    BTW.. I was reading about people talking about securement of items which require certain areas to secure etc... Well these unit I used to haul (the AC/HEAT units for buildings) you could only chain them down by the I beams that supports the unit.. They sheet metal is fragile and if you strap it down you can damage the product by caving in the sheet metal.. Also the pieces that are strapped (the air duct on the front of the trailer) had to be done with VERY LITTLE strap tightening otherwise the item would just cave and bend.. I hated that piece because it would shift due to the wind and the fact you can't tightening straps too much.
