yeah I faxed the bol in for detention, of course I did it three times before I found out the fax number had changed, appreciate the heads up on that... anyway I dropped that load of bs in Colorado in the middle of nowhere (cool people at the job site though) on Friday afternoon so I figured I was going to sit. Nope, got a call at 5pm saying to head Rotan for Monday. Good deadhead but the load is probably gonna be a short one. Anyway, at the TA in Sweetwater now.
Don't know of anything in Sumter, hope the storm stays north of you.

Yeah when I dropped in Denver a few weeks ago they sent me to rotan on a friday for a monday pickup.. I was stationed in Colorado Springs so I took the opportunity to stay and hang with some friends over a 34, then headed down sunday afternoon.
I totally missed the storm actually... its been sunny skies the entire trip down here.. but, there are up to 20mph gusts with an average at 5-10 on winds. -
if I had friends I would do the same, instead I just did a couple short driving days. Sure enough, Rotan to San Antonio lol. I know where I'm going next, at least to pick up anyway.

Man this is a long read. But solid info. I've given you a lot of ####e over the years AT, but this and your W/S threads are pretty solid. And as others before me have done because of this thread, I've applied at LST. Faxed my paperwork in Monday and spoke with Tonya and Elizabeth Wednesday for an update. They're just waiting for the paperwork from my current employer to give me the OK. Shouldn't be a problem as I've been with them 5 years and they've yet to run me off. I gave them every bit of info they wanted and seems I meet the requirements. Thankfully they go on 3 year records for tickets and accidents. My first year OTR wasn't the best. I hope to be heading to orientation within the next couple of weeks once I get that call.
Couple of questions for you guys if I may ask. Is there additional pay for running Canada? When you do get an OD load, do they pay more or are you paid at your base rate? I appreciate the responses when you guys get some time.
I'm used to staying out 6+ weeks with my current company, so staying out is not a big deal. Y'all have made this company seemed so desirable that it's a no-brainer to apply.
You guys stay safe out there and keep this info coming. -
i dont know about canada, but there is no OD pay. Unless your doing some huge crazy stuff and are stuck sitting waiting for days for permits or curfews or something then they"ll pay you for your wasted time. Your paid based on your Level.
Levels:
99 = .38cpm (A 99 is someone that comes in with No flatbed Experiance)
0 = .40cpm
1 = .42cpm
2 = .44cpm
3 = .46cpm
4 = .48cpm
5 = .50cpm TOP Pay
The levels dictate how long, wide, tall, heavy of loads you can pull

Now AT, I read you say the probationary (99) period is 90 days, but Tonya told me 30 days then I'd go to 0. I know you've been gone a while now, but maybe the other guys can tell me which is accurate?

I just got the phone call from Elizabeth about 30 minutes ago. I've been approved! Luckily my next load is passing me right by the house, so I'm going to offload 90% of my stuff and barebone it for a week to drop this truck off at my company's terminal in Irving, then start orientation on the 12th. I'm beyond excited and ready to join you guys out there!
Mystikal Thanks this. -

Thanksgiving might screw up the original plan. I should know more by Monday. Elizabeth stated they're not doing any sort of training the week of Thanksgiving. If so, I'll have to wait an extra 2 weeks and start the 26th. No problem either way, just the anticipation will be high for me.
