    Thanks Taildragon,
The only reason we need one more driver is because we picked up 18 more locations.
Only me and one other driver in the Charlotte area out of our warehouse. It is time to add a third driver.
I was the last new driver hired almost 2 years ago.I have had 3 raises since then.
We have a warehouse in Indiana with 3 drivers and another in Oklahoma.

Sorry to start this thread and everyone starts shouting scam!

If the MODS wish, just delete this whole thread and we will still find a driver.
I was just wanting a TTR member in the area that may be looking for decent pay to have a shot.
Not many places you can make 50 to 60k the first year,be home for some 3 day weekends and during the week sometimes.
They also pay for one hotel per week....that is rare with a sleeper cab.

I just posted a link to this thread, in a thread that a veteran started, stating that he was looking for work somewhat near you, he lived in Charlotte area I'm guessing, I am assuming that you cover that area, only a thought.

If I didn't prefer to live in the sticks, I'd be all over it.

it's the lift gate part I don't like. used to deliver machine all over US and Canada that way. was fine until the weather turned to crap, then it became a real pain.

A resume?? for a driving job?? office work yes, driver, I think not.I haven't dusted mine off, since I left the office jobs yrs ago.was a quality control dept manager with gov contracts.

I never look at craigs list for a job.lol use the Charlotte Observer.

    Thanks drivers,
Yea the liftgate can be a pain at times in bad weather.
Running the South really helps.Very rarely deal with unloading in the snow.

The resume thing is just really sending them a typical drivers application or just an email with your experience.
The boss will then call the applicant from that point for a phone interview.

I actually found them on Craigslist myself when they let a driver go for a dirty random drug test.

Get rid of the exclamation marks, and delete "Thanks and good luck!" That just doesn't sound professional.

Also, to differentiate yourself from the competition, add more specifics to the job description - like what products you haul, where you haul them, how much you pay per mile, how often they will be home, and where they would run to, and if there are dedicated routes.

I'm a bit too far from Shelby, or I might apply myself. I'm around 100 miles away.

They still may consider it. I am 67 miles away from the yard.
They are dedicated routes that rotate every 3 weeks between what will be 3 drivers.
Only back hauls are picking up our own product. Some weeks i might get one then other weeks no pickups.
    All truckload pickups,no multi-stop pickups.

To be fair I run a 1-3 truck outfit and found a great driver off CL - I did post my phone number and the phone rang off the hook. Could the job pay more - yes. However I do run my outfit keeping the driver in mind. Meaning that I do not send a driver out on a Friday for a 250 mile run just so that he can spend the weekend at the Flying J in Knoxville, TN ( or wherever.... ) I try and have everybody home on the weekends unless it financially justifies the run for the driver and not just myself.
