Hey everyone,
I blew the turbo on my C-15 last night coming across I-70.
Got the truck into MHC Kenworth in Salina this morning. Looks like a 2700.00+ price tag just for the turbo itself.
My question is, can i replace the stock turbo with a Stage 1 PDI without reprograming the ECM? I'm really not to wizzed on spending that much for a stock reman unit. Plus, nobody has a turbo for it in stock as far away as KC. Need some help quickly.
Thanks
Vince

yep it will work. but i would do a haney program in the future to get peak performance out of it.VinceL Thanks this.

Thats cool, i appreciate the response. There is a PDI dealer in Moundridge about 53 mi from Salina. Hopefully he has one in stock. BTW, what is a " Haney program"?
I guess i have more than enough time to read up on it lol. -
Youll love the pdi , stage 1 big difference in performance and youll see mpg come up, least i did. Paid 3250.00 for mine well worth the extra $. I didnt get a custom tune on the ecm with mine. Pretty happy as is for now
VinceL Thanks this. -
mr haney he has a thread on here he is a pdi dealer. good one to talk to. might be hard to reach him right now. he's at pdi in utah doing their dyno contest. probably wining it!!

I was pretty happy with the way it was pulling with the stock unit. Now i hope i get lucky and i can get the PDI on Monday. My biggest problem is, the load of friggin onions sitting on my trailer. Really don't have the luxury of waiting.

Does he own the red and white Pete? If so, i passed him (only because he let me lol) on I 64. That thing sounded sweet.
