Very good advice. I did this while in school and received eight preHires and only two rejections (I was outside their hiring area). Having options is a very good thing. You never know what little snag you might hit in the process with any particular company. You definitely want a fallback position. Nothing like having options.
And oh, btw...I have chosen to pursue roehl!

Hey bossoutlaw, i dont know anything about schneider other than i can blow by there bobtails when I'm loaded runnin up hill lol, i know they generally dont take there trucks is it company policy to park at your for home time or do opt to do it, and how does there 6days a month off work ( could you take every weekend off till you run out of days, thanx
-
So BossOutLaw and Treefork tell me this, Schneider claims on their website that with their Percentage Truck Buying program some drivers make $800 to $1000 a day. Is that correct or an over statement. Is either one of you owns is own truck?
-
I'm a company driver for Roehl flatbed, can't help you there.
-
I just quit Schneider going to us express. Schneider only has intermodal dry can and tanker. There's no flatbed or refeers anymore. There not that great the pay is pretty low your always gonna have to stay on them about your pay and detention pay and all. There system of thinking and people are ###### up

Well I was thinking I need a change, thinking the tanker thing but I'm not sure I wanna drive 2 hrs to the nearest yard every time I go on duty, and I don't know about most but I use home time to prep the truck for my next week and I kinda like showing off my truck, just curious about there home time policy, I'm a family guy and I like to be home on the weekend when ever possible

Home time? Where are you from? They don't allow you to bobtail more than 100 miles so if you don't live within 100 miles of a terminal you probably couldn't take the truck home. My dbl was a little jacked up she had a hard time communicating as if everything was brought to my attention at the last minute. I always got the loads that had to go Go go and I was late most the time because of that. Like my last load was from Gary Indiana terminal the load was to be delivered the 27th by midnight I believe. And I got it the day before about 5-6 pm it was due in warren ohio Kmart dc which was bull but I was going home so I didn't care. And I got to use the turnpike which they don't allow. If you wanna know more email me blackhawk7739@gmail.com ill respond frequently

Roehl does have pretty decent home time policy. they cant guarrantee the weekends. If you communicate with the fm they can get home on most important dates with the family.
