I sure don't have a problem leaving home with decent loads. I run a straight flat, not a Conestoga.

Whenever I want to be, is the simple answer. I personally prefer to stay out, until I burn out, then go home for 2 weeks to a month. Getting good flat loads out of Alabama is no problem. Sometimes it can be a little harder finding some back. But then, it might be easier if I lowered my base rate.

Sounds like a good deal you got going on Autocar. I am in the process of getting my cdl, and hope to have that option like you do someday....

Lots of coils. Plenty of freight out. Getting home could be the issue.

I have yet to haul any coils out of Alabama. Hauled some in, but not out.

I run in and out of AL all the time and Have yet to pull a coil either way. Lots of sheet metal fabrications and plate steel. Just have to kow where to look.

With the conestoga, you will tend to get some higher rates and some customers want that type of trailer (don't want tarps on their material)

Thats my biggest problem getting back. LOL but i have a step Live in TN and get a bunch of frieght out of Al. With a conastoga you can get a bunch of loads out of anniston and huntsville and over at Stennis in MS.
