you'll get alot of loads out of there.....usally heavy too.....some will have only 1 page for the bol some will literally be an inch thick and take forever to get seperated lol

picked up the truck from volvo this afternoon......new injectors and cups.....it's like i turned in a pos and got back a brand new truck.....listed my availability after vacation for sunday and if i'd known would have just waited....312 to chambersburg and then an 8pm pickup in mechanicsburg and another 250 to sutherland delivering monday. I had planned on rolling early in the morning and getting a good day in and now i'm stuck waiting till noon to make it work with the 2nd preplan and still have hours to run......and end up looking for parking after midnight......not a good way to start the week and will have me stuck on that schedule looking for late parking all week...... ALL those loads on the yard and the high value line full and he tried to bs me and tell me that's the best he had after i told them i needed to be run hard and get long miles this week. guess i'll have to wait until monday and my regular dm will hook me up and run me.

remembered something the wife had told me 2 weeks ago and forgot to mention it in my earlier posts.......news and record did a survey of companies in the triad and epes was listed 5th best company to work for in the triad of large companies behind inmar, allegacy, fedex and krispy kreme......not bad company to be in and was based on employee surveys done by an outside auditing company.

guess i'll get another good nights sleep tonight but after an irritating and long week off was really looking forward to leaving early getting a good day in instead of pissing around for 300 miles and then dealing with a live load and fighting for parking after midnight.

Dink page 5 or 6 is the page the consigned is to fill out , (time in ,time out, date, and sign) none do! So off to the side , not in blanks , beside them . Put your times in and note cust refused to fill out! P and G was balking on paying because of cust not filling it out . Just note it and send it with page one. They were 60 to 90 days out , wish fill thinking? Cust service was close to cutting them off, and those in route turn around! If we do that ,noting on paper work its falling on cust ! Most guards are only allowed to stamp paper work?

geez what a difference a week in a 'real' shop makes lol.....finally got power under the pedal again and fuel milage magically went from a 5.3 avg to 7.6....have to wonder how much fuel and dollars they wasted not listening to me that something was bad wrong with this thing until it finally got so bad they had no choice but take it back to volvo......my only REAL complaint with the company and makes me want to pull my hair out at times.....minor stuff and routine stuff they're real good at and get right on but major repairs and something that isn't going to be a quick in and out that isn't a safety issue gets deferred until it finally drops and won't run.....my disclaimer is that at least that's been MY experience with THIS truck....others i can't speak for......after all we're just dumb truck drivers right? we couldn't really know what we're talking about could we? there was a recall item on these injectors and cups and everything i looked up online said it had to be done by 200k.....well guess what? 200k clicked over and it wouldn't hardly run anymore. you knew about it so why not just get it off the road and get it in and #### well do it instead of waiting until you HAVE to do it. the waste of fuel dollars alone over the last 50-60k that it was really getting bad i'm sure equals or is greater than the loss of revenue for having it down the week it took to fix it. that annoying vibration and rpm flucuation is gone too. imagine that.

sitting in chester waiting to make my drop then IP going up to pawtucket. another late night parking nightmare and timed just right to hit DC at rush hour this evening. looks like that's the way the week is going to run. and another storm setting up to run the coast. good thing i don't drink anymore lol......

right on about the p&g paperwork not getting signed. chambersburg last night same deal....stamp it and hand it back. even said something to the gaurd he just walked off and ignored me. sure whatever pretty obvious he LOVED his job hehehehe.....i'll just do like you said and write it down on the back page and let them sort it out.....makes sense

firetrucks and ems on the yard in chester last night. not sure what was up with that but pulled up to a truck parked on the back of the lot. never heard anything about what it was this morning. been having a problem getting in and out of there lately the little gaurd at night loves his naps. last 3 times here had to climb the fence and beat on the shack to wake him up to get in, then wake him up to get out......time before this 3am and he's snoozing and the gate wide open....woke him up told him he better handle his business.....debating whether to report him or not but if i catch him sleeping again coming in or out of here (and i feel sure i will) then probably will report it.

guess it's time to get on it......drop in sutherland then over to cofer rd to pickup 2pm and fight the dc idiots and stress over parking again after 10pm wherever i can find to put it. some weeks you just know when it gets started it's going to add a few more gray hairs.....when i can't get out of the gate early on sunday or monday it seems like the rest of the week is a parking nightmare.....

well...gotta a speeding ticket this morning! Was going down a hill on I-84 put engine break on, with 43,000....kept speeding up....so started applying break...get down the hill DOT pulls me. Checks my elogs gives me a level 3, which I passed, and issues me a ticket for doing 72 in a 65! I asked him if he saw my break light as I was applying break...he said...laser detector got you at 72, nothing I can do about that! JEEZ!!!!!!!!!!! These past 2 weeks really suck right now! They want $348 for the ticket. What the hell is next?!?!?!?! When I called Kathy in safety to notify of ticket, she said about 10 guys, one after the other, had been in accidents and thought I was in one too! Luckily, that DIDN'T HAPPEN! But, man did I get screwed by DOT. So much for going down a hill and trying to slow down!

    #### that sucks man.....guess look on the bright side could have been worse lol could have nabbed you in one of those 50mph zones coming through that stretch of road lol that's a tough one to run with weight on and control the speed. Either too slow climbing those hills or too fast coming down the other side.
