If you are not able to answer the mans question, i would suggest that you refrain from smart alec responses. My insursance for paid off 1 truck and reefer at 1,000,000 and 100,000 cargo all 48 states is 4440 a year.

Here is one question though: What about drivers with only about a year of driving experience. Will Insurance companies write a policy for a 1 yr driver without "shafting" him?

How long have you had your authority, and what state are you based in Irv? That is a real good rate from what I have seen...

Mine is 771.83/month 1mil/100k and 30k trailer interchange. If you're planning to do a lot of broker loads make sure your agent can provide you with insurance certificates in a timely manner. Every time you work with a new broker they will have to fax or email a certificate with the broker listed as holder.

I'm sure most companies providing commercial insurance have people to do this. My agent usually get's it done in 10 minutes or less. Right now, it's about the most important thing they do for me.

The only insurance company that I know of that will write someone with less than 1 year experience with their own authority is Progressive. But, they don't always write nationwide coverage. Apparently, it is only written for some areas of the country. You might check with Lancer. I use an independent insurance agent that shops the rates for various insurance companies to find me the best rate.

I pay just under $4500.00 a year, 1 mil liabilty, 100k cargo, physical damage, 25k unidentify trailer. And thats in Komifornia. My broker uses Northland, my agent tells me the price I pay is unheard of. My 8 installments was for $401.63 and the balance was the DN. payment.
