I picked up a JBS load in Cactus last week headed for NY. I do not drive for them so they are still covering at least some loads with outside carriers. The load was actually ready when I got there. This is only the second time that has happened to me on a meat load regardless of the shipper.

I would say a high high majority of jbs plant loads are from outside carriers.

It was a little slower this time out, about 8000k miles the past 3 weeks to the day. The previous 3 weeks before that I did about 9000k. I personally don't often have issues with miles but it seems like there's always a headache load every week. Either a relay that doesn't make sense or inconsistent driving time like all night then all day with no heads up. If night/weekend dispatch calls I try to not answer the phone lol. Me being a rookie though I still haven't figure out if those minor issues are just part of trucking or Jbs sucking. Maybe being a rookie I just over think things. All is well for the time being though.

Image41.jpg Image56.jpg This was my week from a couple weeks ago. Last week was horrible but was compensated for my time. This week is looking good. Got a load going to Corona, CA from Sacramento that delivers Wednesday morning. Should put me at over 3,000.

Don't have those problems. I only get called to inform me of a load. I think you can probably have less headache if you were at a company who had more variety of freight to pick up. But picking up this meat. You can have all kinds of weird apt times to pick up. You should be use to it by now, but if it still gets to you. Maybe you should look for another company. Getting use to the next companies system will be a new headache. Just depends on what all you can put up with. For me I just take what I can get and make the best of it. Don't sweat the small stuff next week will hopefully be better. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it don't. Just won't find me putting in hundreds of application's to find a dream job. You guys have a good night.

I got offered a dedicated Florida route so I guess I'll be giving that a go. Not expecting much but hoping for more then I expect lol.

With Jbs, was told I should be getting to Florida around once a week and that taking a night at the house would not be an issue as long as the loads were on time. (Of course)
The route is basically Iowa to Florida to Georgia then back to Iowa. When I come out of the house from home time I will be starting on .
