What sort of routes does Total run? Dedicated? OTR? I've seen a few of their trucks on the interstate here in alabama, mostly vans

I went with covenant right out of school and it was a bad choice. no one should train with a company that makes u run teams with ur trainer. I went to btc and retrained after 4 months of covenant and that was the best move iv made in my trucking career. i would recommend looking into them. i trained for 6 weeks and once i got my own truck was averaging 1000 a week right away and home every weekend and a few days a week here and there.

Many people ask for advice on companies or which company should I go with and be home often, but don't say where they live! It's hard to try & help if we don't have a clue as even to which state you live.

Total runs all 48, they do have local, relay, regional and dedicated but you have to work your way into those. Seniority and all. Fair I think.

Your seeing them either leaving or coming in to the terminal. Its in Jackson. Total is a smaller company, but better for it. They really have treated us like family. Not just our dispatcher either, every person we have encountered (except two). U really encourage you to look at total when decision time comes.

Ok I'll be specific in my case:

I'm also looking for the best option for me. I'm in jersey, I just have 3 months of experience with a local company which is crap and I don't have any issue with OTR. My only goal right now is get the better paying company hiring in NJ.

    Any suggestions?

Maverick is hiring in nj. Temperature control (reefer) starting out 41 cents a mile. There glass division is hiring up there to at 41 cents a mile with less than six month otr experience. But hometime suck with the temp division. The recurter never lied to me I enjoy it here. Great company to start out with and great equipment.

Thought I would bump this since those questions are becoming more frequent.

Are you still qualified to say "I don't know"?
