We've had guys put OOS at scales then had the scalemaster call us and say your driver can't stay here and neither can his truck. Guess you shouldn't have put him OOS.

One of the advantages to having a fridge, shelf items I can heat up, etc always on the truck. I am never without at least 3-4 days worth of food and water in the truck. It has been over two decades since i relied on only what I could stop and get for each meal. And it is a lot cheaper too.
Makes it nice. I can run over to a customer location. Shut down for a break. Have something hot to eat. Make some coffee or have a cold beverage from the fridge. Watch something on the laptop. And be ready to go to work in the morning after loading/unloading. -
yes you be able to log that as off duty driving.... as long as you are with in your 14 clock and dont have a trailer is what im told
-
Whether you have a trailer or not doesn't matter. As long as the trailer isn't loaded then by the regs you can log personal conveyance. But the company you drive for might not allow this. It depends on the company.
otherhalftw and Meltom Thank this. -
in maine you get 2 choices either A) you either get another driver to come down to the scales and drive ur truck for you or B) you get to ride in a big shiny tow truck to either the closest truck stop or wherever ur boss's and/or your wallet runs out of money. happend to a friend of mine quite embarrassing for him he chose aption A

I know of a company that asks drivers to hang out until everyone that is scheduled to be back is back, just in case they need to send someone out to bring a truck back.

From C to D can be PC as long as you aren't paid for it, just the same as D to A. If you get paid to drive to terminal then you log it. Otherwise its just like driving a car to work.
I'm on e-logs so I don't have PC. But I don't drive my truck home, and I get paid hub miles. So I get paid regardless of if its part of my trip, or me driving 5 miles down the road to get something to eat. -
This is interesting
