    Miss Sass,
wow sorry to hear about all that with the trainer you had, pig for sure, that is what i am concerned about, i start with Central next month and i want a female trainer but if i have to get with a male, there are a couple things i will want to know to prevent me from getting stuck with a jerk. im glad you got away from that man and company, i hope you are doing well with the company you are with now

I'm with Central now... Had a male trainer and had absolutely NO problems. Feel free to PM me if you want his name, he is still training and we still stay in contact.

It's a sorry state of affairs that a woman should need to be warned away from any company because of "trainers" ( used quotations because they are anything but) that think it's a free for all with a female student.

I would suggest to any woman who finds themselves in this situation make 2 phone calls. The first to the company to tell them they are going to have to send another driver to retrieve the truck because the next call is going to be the cops to have the "trainer" arrested. ( you pick the charge)

Interesting article. Thanks for posting it.

It mentions that, "After the company sent letters to thousands of female employees, about 150 gave depositions" It sounds like the writer is implying that out of "thousands" of female employees, only 150 had problems. I'm curious about the percentage of female drivers who had problems. The lawsuit is about female drivers, not admins and accountants. Of those thousands of female employees, how many were drivers in 2007? Calculating it a different way, how many drivers does CRST have and what percentage are women?

Do NOT allow them to make excuses! FEMALE trainer ONLY! Anything less is just setting yourself up for misery, and they have enough people and resources to make it work SAFELY. End of discussion!

float313 makes a valid point , no woman would ever let herself be so humiliated that would indeed be rape and a lengthy prison sentence. On the other side of the coin there are always people who will do anything for a job unfortunately and then regret what they stooped to do , what I'm really surprised at is why would CRST put males and females together in the first place thats almost tempting fate.

As a woman driver with a male trainer yrs ago I dont see a problem with it.What I see as a problem is people not taking responsibility for their problems.Instead of saying they dont like trucking and want to go home they blame others to try to get out of the contracts. This industry has alot of cry babies. If you are new at trucking you will not be home for weeks, your pay will be low,and you wont get alot of respect. If you can handle that then you will be ok,if you cant stop whining and go home
