The Cicero Ave comment gave me a good laugh. Crazy down there.

I pay to keep my truck in a secured location. I could easily find a spot around here for free, but the peace of mind is worth it.

I know a guy who has a very small place in Plant City - with a 13/3 schedule you may be able to talk him down to $60 a month. It's actually his house so it is secure. Shoot me a pm if you need his name / number. Maybe try some of the warehouses over by Gandy & Westshore.

Your truck will most likely be safe at the impound lot :biggrin_2559:

Those spaces are for paying customers. I hope someone steals your batteries.

I spend about 6-7k/mo on fuel, most of which I get at pilot/flying j. Does that qualify me as a paying customer?

24 hours is fine, if you just filled your tanks. some of us would like to have a spot to park after we fill.

This is why I park first, then fill. No parking means I'm not buying fuel.

Where do you park on days you don't fill? Not that it's gonna change my habits. I almost always fuel there, park there, and I have wifi and showers there. I don't care if I just fueled, they get enough of my money.

To clarify - we had a family emergency in Largo; company got us a load from Iowa to Plant City to help us keep travel cost down. I phoned ahead to the truck stop and spoke with the brother of the owner - explained the situation, and was given permission to park there for a week while we took care of the family situation.
Hubby did fuel up and shop there before heading out. I had to stay with the family member in Largo.
That was our final trip. Husband retired 1 week later and we sold our truck.
