National Training in Green Cove Springs.

 

I'll be going to TDI in Milton, FL in 2 weeks and a WIA grant is covering all but the DMV fees. My boyfriend went back in August and paid $6k out of pocket.

 

I went to national in green cove, best bang for your buck for me. As in money spent and seat time ratio.

Yes im in the process of getting that same grant. Its only something like 2800.00 but ill take it.

 

Have you gotten prehires yet? I've gotten one of the three needed, but its hard enough to find companies in Florida, let alone companies who hire recent grads! It's frustrating cause where I'm at is just out of hiring area for many places. Some won't hire west of Tallahassee. And I am outside of Schneider's guru.g area by less than 15 minutes because I'm over the county line.

 

I work for roehl and live south of Jacksonville. Hired me right out of school.

For national I payed $4995. They raised it now though, its $5995

The grant lady said nothing about pre hire letters.What was your amount you got? Mine is going to be $3750.00 for a 160 hour program.TDI in sanford said they would take it but i would still have to pay for 10 days hotel plus dmv fees.I tried to get them to include hotel but they didnt.

 

So my counselor at JobsPlus says I don't need prehires since she has no doubt about my hireability. Perhaps that's one more thing different from county to county cause the admissions gal was still insisting I needed them for WIA. They are awarding me $3995 which covers the entire course minus DMV fees. I already got my permit anyways so on day three when all the guys are crowding up in the DMV to test, I can just go take a long lunch, lol. Pretty sure that if I needed hotel, that would be out of my pocket too, but I don't because I'm local. It was offered to me since I'm borderline far enough away, but I actually need to drop off my kids on the way and pick them up on the way home as well as take care of my small zoo at home since my boyfriend is OTR and its just me at home right now. I lucked out with having the "in-laws" willing to watch my two kids ((2 year old and 2 month old)) the whole time I'm in school.
