dont blame ya one bit on being home. had a story on the radio the other day that they (the BIG trucking co"s) are having trouble recruiting new younger people into the truckin lifestyle. said it was hard to stay out 6 weeks before they got home...... really?? i wouldnt have thought that people have other lives other than this one. industry better wake up and take care of it's own or we'll have to import some labor again like Hogan did back in the late 90's

six weeks to get two days off. lol.
heck i go out for two weeks and i want a week off -
If i don't make it home on the weekends my truck turns into an airplane and just fly's my fata** home!
-
i go home when i want to! or fly the betterhalf to where im at. had some pretty nice mini vacations that way!
SHC Thanks this. -
No chance on getting back into it later? I'd you're not hurting for cash, why not keep the securement for if you get back on road?

Yea ,my patience have just completely run out for all the bull #### and haggling with dispatchers and lyers.this industry in headed into a world of hurt if it doesn't change it's ways .it takes a special breed of person to do this job.all the rules and regs.are sometimes overwhelming.as far getting back into it,I've been out here a total of 17 yrs.and have seen the money just keep going down and the industry change dramatically it used to be fun as hell but most of that has been taken away.so no chance I come back out.i have also accepted a position with ups freight

I think it's a premature move. Blair is out of Alabama. Mercer, Landstar and a few other 100% owner operator companies.
ok. UPS. Did not see that part... -
