Hi Guys,
I am considering going to the CR England driving school. I just got off the phone with the recruiter and I asked them about how much it would cost. She said they are offering a zero cost tuition up until OCT 29. Is this real? or are they going to say something different once I get there?
Also I was wondering how hard it is to become a company driver after completing the school? Because I don't want to lease a truck at all! Is it gauranteed to become a company driver or is this reserved for only a few experienced drivers?

I just got hired on with CRE through the Richmond, IN school. It is zero cost tuition, AS LONG AS you drive for the company for AT LEAST 6 months. If you quit to go to a different company or get fired for whatever reason, the cost to you is about $3K. Here at Richmond I didn't get any pressure to lease a truck. They covered one day for a couple minutes and thats all I've heard about it. Being a company driver isn't hard to do. You do not have to be experienced to become a company driver. Hope this helps

hello farside, i am going there next week but to the Utah terminal, it is not free, they deduct $55 from your check every week until you pay the i beleive its $2995 or $3995 back. i am doing it because i do not have the money up front to do it, so i am signing the 6 month contract and depending how i like it i may stay or i may go to work at the company my husband drives for. i have been doing much research and chatting with CRE drivers, they will pressure us to lease a truck big time, thats when you need to put your foot down and say NO! my recruiter Cameron told me once training is complete i have the choice, solo, team or lease, i am doing solo hands down. best of luck to you.

The pressure comes when you are done your training and you want to go solo. They suddenly have NO company rides BUT over here in the corner we have this RED slightly used (greatly abused) pos.
Would you do it any differently to get lambs to slaughter? -
I am going solo too Cyn.. Teaming isn't for me..
