You all know that I am running the shuttle from Lancaster to Prescott AR every afternoon. I share a daycab with a driver that runs the morning route. I had a trailer tire blow out near Texarkana the other night which made for a longer than normal shift. My relay driver was cool with it, but we both knew we would be late getting back to our terminals.
I got back to Lancaster at about 0330 and after fueling, dropping off the bad tire, running the truck through the wash, and finishing all macros, locked the doors to the unit at about 0400. By the time the slip seat driver got there just before 0600, some nimrod putz of an arse stole all 3 batteries from the truck.
For the most part I am a pretty even tempered guy. One ex planner and DM might disagree with that, oh, and a few fast food counter workers have seen my temper too. But, to this thief, I wish nothing but the worst of luck. I hope the batteries blow up in your face. I hope you drop one on your foot. I hope you are stupid enough to check the acid level by holding a match up to one of the vent tubes (if they even use those anymore).
I have no use for people that steal. It is my understanding that there may be video of this, I hope so and I hope the person(s) involved are caught and have their private parts clamped in a vise!

I understand what you are saying, but it seems funny to use 'THIEVES' and 'WORK' in the the same sentence. Sorry S O B's should be working instead of stealing.
inkeper Thanks this. -
Sorry to hear that your batteries were stolen--karma does have a way of catching up with us for our deeds both positive and negative. I'm sure your thief will eventually get his/hers. Hope that you have a better day tomorrow.

A couple of years or so ago, I had 4 batteries along with the wiring harness stolen out of one of my trucks. It is very aggravating and expensive. The batteries were only about 6 months old when they were stolen. I would love to have caught them stealing my batteries. When the economy is down you can expect to see more of this type of thing.

And they will sell the batteries to the junk yard for scrap price. Here it is 12 bucks for each battery.

Inkeper, are you one of those sorry Swift sob's that takes up two parking spaces when you do your switch @ the TA in Prescott?
-
Just for clarification ... this was inside the Lancaster terminal?

Yep, in the yard. The shop was broken into about 2 months ago as well. Those guys are on video with copies of the stills posted in the lounge.
