They stuck you at a pilot? How did they stick you at a pilot? I always shut down where I wanted or needed to.

    Nakmuay Thanks this.

Yea I run 2-3 weeks and reset at the house. Can't tell you last time I took a reset on the road.

What's so bad about being at a Pilot for a reset? There's food, showers, bathrooms, and generally some stuff nearby. Could even grab a hotel room if you wanted as I'm sure there's one close.

I took a reset at a tiny truck stop in Duluth, MN. No showers, no nearby fast food. The place was so tiny that they didn't even have a fountain drink machine. It sucked, but I survived because I have plenty of stuff in my truck to keep me entertained to matter where I am or for how long I'm there. All I care about on a 34 is that I have internet. If I'm in an area with no cell reception I'll drive til I'm out of hours to do a 34 in an area with decent cell reception so I have internet.

Then there was also the reset in the Sumner, WA drop yard. There's nothing but a couple port-o-johns there. I just got lucky that I had friends who lived in the Tacoma/Seattle area so I just hung out with them during the day and slept in the truck at night. Even got to go out for a nice dinner one of the nights.

I'm at the Wintersville Walmart DC for tonight. I really wish I lived closer and could work here. I was happy when one of the dedicated drivers showed me that they have an actual power washer in the wash bay here. They said it's usually not able to be used during the week because there's a guy who has to wash out the reefers with it. But during the weekends when they aren't using it drivers are allowed to use it to wash trucks. I was finally able to get the mud washed off my truck since I just paid to have Blue Beacon do it a couple weeks ago. I wish they would stop wasting all their money on the big automated washes and just set up a bay like this with a power washer and a ladder at all the OCs. I'd gladly wash my truck when I had time like tonight.

Have a live load tomorrow in Canton, OH and then a Live Unload in Joliet, IL on Tuesday. I'm staring to run out of hours every night on my 70 so I'm probably going to ask for a staging load out of the Chicago area to Gary so I can do a 34 there and get my laundry and other stuff taken care of.

After being off work since July 21st looks like I'm headed back to Gary OC to finish up and get out on road, scheduled to be there this Sunday.

Good to hear. Did they finally approve you moving to van?

I saw your text a few weeks back, had to wipe my phone before I could reply and lost the number. I've been bouncing through the area for the past couple of weeks, hit me up next weekend and I just might be around.

    Edit:

    It's cold in Gary tonight.

Well, they still have not made a decision on if they were going to sell my old 2006 Century due to the problems that it had, so they got me a rental to drive from West Memphis to Atlanta and told me I could go sit at my house for the weekend and come to the OC Monday for them to find me another truck. I got there this morning and spent the morning doing computer classes for the Cascadias and got a 2011 Cascadia with 244K on it. She has some minor body damage on the outside, but the inside was exceptionally clean and she drives good, So I am a happy driver for now, LOL. Oh, and it does not have the Idle sensor as of yet, anyway. It also has this system for battery powered cooling, http://us.bergstrominc.com/nite-phoenix/.

Stop having them adjust your nat. Stay on top it. Your the boss you know your hours. I really feel for you drivers. I get so mad reading these post and how you all let Schneider run you. There is no reason to run 11hours every day or stay on duty for more then 45min in a day. Its time management.
