What would be the best way to do a cross over, right and left? Like, what do you look for first, or are you counting after cutting the wheel?

If you mean setting up to back in a space, pull perpendicular to the hole about 3 to 6 feet out. Center the tractor tandems with the hole you want to back into. Then, cut wheel all the way (right if doing sightside), and go forward until the tractor is parallel to the hole. Stop, turn wheel the opposite direction, go forward until the tractor is once again perpendicular to the hole. The back of the trailer should now be lined up with the hole on about a forty-five degree angle. Cut the wheel back the opposite direction and back into the hole, following the trailer in with the tractor. Depending on much room you have, you may need to adjust how far you go forward.
