Hi born and raised in Australia I found myself as an owner/operator of a LOBSTER BOAT in downeast Maine. Great job, but at $2/lb its tough to make ends meet. I started doing home delivery oil a few years back in the winter to make ends meet, then I moved up to tanker truck. I don't quite make 5'...and I as a woman it is its own adventure.
Wanting to try OTR with my partner ...who was my tanker truck trainer...you can figure out the rest....But I come with two old English Bulldogs in tow...which complicates things a bit.
But if you are ever looking for cheap lobsters...I am your girl![]()

Hello interesting stuff continue on .. How did you come to be in Maine?
-
Hmmm where do I start? Got hired on as a lifeguard at a summer camp in Ohio (of all places) many years ago...part of an exchange program. Met my ex husband there. Lived in Ohio for a few years but I missed the ocean. I had never lived anywhere not on the coast. He didn't like hot weather and I wanted to be by the water. We picked Maine, sight unseen. We were both working for Fedex as delivery drivers at the time and figured Fedex was everywhere. We got as far as Manchester NH with fedex and then moved here. I worked a few different jobs and fell in love with being a "fisherman". What are the odds...really? lol But its hard to make it pay, so trucking is really my second career.
