Whether it's a Autoshift/Ultrashift - Freedomline/Sureshift - I-Shift -Meritor, Eaton or Mack. Do you like what you have? Would you like to try something different? I would like to hear your opinion.

The trucks I have driven have all had fuller 10s in them; the good old straight 10 is the best, keep those POS super 10s and lightning 10s for anyone who likes them.
I have driven a friend's columbia that has a fuller 13 in it- I like that the best, and if I was buying my own, it would have to have one in it.

I learned on an eaton eighteen speed ,i thought it was over kill but easy enough once i got use to it. I have driven mostly eaton 10's and i like them. mabe i because it's what i am used to, but they are fine to me
I have driven an eight speed a couple of times when my truck was in the shop, an did not care for them, it might be the trucks gearing but there is a decent sized hill on one of my route's and i never have an issue with it unless i am driving that 8 speed( it's an early 2000's w900 day cab, with a cummings). The firt time taking that hill _NOT LOADED_, i almost abandoned ship I Had it flored in sixth gear buy the time i had it up the hill i was in first and droping RMS way to quick. In my truck unless there is a car in front of me i never have to dropdown and never below fourth.
The guys in the shop swear all the trucks have the same gear ratio, but if so how can it be that different?
We have an ongoing bet at work in who will wreck it first, just to get it out of there(it's a floater). And my boss always gives it to the new guys to see if they can handle it on that hill, A few have not. now when i drive it i leave enough room so i can get up to 8th before the botom of the hill.

Agreed I have an 18 speed in my truck and wouldn't ever trade it for anything else.

I drive a 2005 Sterling Acterra box truck, with a C7 Cat and a Fuller Synchro-6. It was a nice truck before the previous driver spend 80,000 miles destroying the clutch. :(
