Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

it's been two weeks now. how are things now ? ever find a job ?
-
aren't they union?
-
Yes I do have a job now.... Company out of Canton Michigan called A.D Transport... pay is decent, have a lot of childish rules and lengthy paper work that has to be filled out.... But it is the only company I could find that was going to pay me close to what I was going to make without having to go flatbed or covered wagon (I probably could do covered wagon) which I already explained why that would be a problem for me...
I would be interested in Roadway... I know they pay well.... -
yes we are - and before we go down that thread (again)
keep in mind 90% of the negative union talk you hear comes from
1. those paid less
2. those not clean cut enough
3. those kicked out for being screw ups....
the numbers speak for themselves - our average driver has 18 years OTR experience - and 9 out of 10 guys hired RETIRE with us with an average stay of 27 years...
we have virtually no turnover.... why?
look into it... and get informed from legit sources and see...
It is funny the number of guys who say "unions suck" - but yet what really sucks is a scumbag company that keeps you in limbo and cheats you day to day... -
I would have put a lien on that truck and hire a lawyer to file it and hold the truck. At least the lawyer can scare em,otherwise you will never see the money,if they go bankrupt and you file a claim, they will have to pay you. Hope you make out okay.
-
Actually he would have been WELL within his rights to issue a lien on nonpayment for services rendered and hold the truck..in 48 states that I know of. -
You will find another good company, just be patient and keep your eyes and ears open.
-
I'm sure that, after 4 years, the OP probably did find another job.
-
