I had received a prehire from Schneider three weeks ago, and have been trying everyday to get ahold of the recruiter. Can I request a different recruiter? I've had to talk to the recruiters secretary to even start my paperwork. I've left countless messages and emails. The only response, aside from sec, is an automated email saying he's tried to contact me when he hasn't..

Try another company. I wouldn't have waited 3 weeks to get with another company.

Lol that's a possibility, but to my defense, I was doing what his sec told me to. She told me to keep trying till get ahold of them. Dude's phone doesn't even ring, just goes straight to voicemail. Wish I could have a job where I didn't have to do crap like him lol.

He's probably waiting for you to show up. Ain't that how these outfits operate. Call the recruiter, show up for orientation, pass the criminal check, pass the drug test, get reimbursed for the bus ticket, get an orange hat, get a new truck to take home, get a 400 mile load to Philadelphia, sit at the truck stop until after Thanksgiving.

I was still in school at the time, and they were my first pick. Mainly because I was required to get a prehire letter for the school.

Haha that's awesome. I'd show up for orientation if they gave me a date. I don't care to sit a truck stop. I have nothing at the house except for the walking dead on dvr

I've always known freight to be slow during Thanksgiving. I'd give it a week or two.

So, what time of year is best to go to school so you can be with your trainer and ready to solo at the right time of year?

I've been told I will be layed off next year, but which month is flexible as long as I am gone by August.
