Okay, I'm sure some of you guys are on one. How do you go about sanitizing your equipment on the road? Me and my wife want to go into trucking, but understand that space is very limited, especially during initial training. I am thinking about a collapsible bucket for soaking my hose and mask. How do you guys get the job done without sacrificing cargo space?

I just occasionally wash the hose and mask with soap and water, and wipe down the water chamber. Probably not as often as I should, is it that big of a deal ?

Hydrogen Peroxide and a paper towel. Rinse with water and you are good to go. Have a few extra hoses on hand just to be sure. You can wash them out in the shower and let them air dry.

I take my chamber apart and dump vinegar into the hose, swish it around then wash with water in the shower, no problems at all, well one keeping the inverter running all night sometimes will run the batteries down in the -15 areas.

I take my nose piece and whose into the shower with me and just use my body wash. The guy who delivered my unit said that was the easiest way. Seems to do the job.

    Stay safe out there.

Use a clothspin and attach it to the CB antenna while your going down the road in the rain... Once you cross the desert it should be dry and sanitized.....

I've had one for 15 years and can count on one hand the times I've cleaned and I'm still alive and never get sick.

But, you have inspired me to clean mine this weekend while I am home. ;)

I clean mine at home about three times a month. And you are correct, I never get sick if I don't clean it daily like they tell you to.
