What about that net zero hotspot thingy? I think it's only $10 a month or something like that.

Your question is kind of confusing. Are you looking for a good phone company with a good WiFi plan? If so, your phone will have to be able to provide a Hotspot or you can go with a Mi-Fi. The Mi-Fi usually when you dial in from your desk top manager will connect you to a local Wi-Fi network that the phone carrier is on.

If you go with a Phone with a Hotspot you have to look at the data plan for that phone.

It will also depend on do you wish to run West/East coast as phone carriers are slightly different in good/bad area's.

You can connect from one phone carrier to another if you are not in your carrier's area. You will probably not get the greatest data from this as data is really not guaranteed when in a "roaming" area.

I used Verizon Mi-Fi when I was OTR and found about 90% of the time I could get decent internet.

I have cricket phone service and my android lets me tether my wifi from my phone to my laptop anywhere I am at. Haven't had a problem with it at all yet. You have your phone; you have wifi with you. And to tether it and transfer my wifi to wifi hotspot was only $10 a month extra added to my phone bill

AT&T here with Samsung Galaxy S II...tethering with 10GB shared data plan. Great service everywhere except AZ which is still on EDGE in most of the state. Other areas around there are roaming on other companies networks as well. Anywhere else generally is great.

I use the Hotspot on my Android Phone, with Verizon no real issue and with more and more 4gLTE popping up it's pretty fast.
