Yes, they are still lower, but they pay better than crst. team driving. The main reasons I am going with Stevens is the better training and training equipment they have, and they are the only ones I have found so far that seem to be a better otr company to drive for and other companys that are even better are not hiring out of Oklahoma City right now. Roehl is a really good otr company to go with, but again, they are not hiring out of OKC. I tried really hard to get on with them and they just want bend. They said I would have to relocate to where they are hiring at to get hired on. At least with Stevens, 0.26 per mi. is much better than 0.22 per mi. split with team driving.

 

Well, I don't want to say anything bad about a company I have not even been with, but the main thing I am looking at is a little bit better pay as a solo driver verses pay as a team driver that is split enless you are a Husband and Wife team driving which that is where the real money is as far as team driving and I just don't feel very comfortable with putting my life and safety into the hands of a perfect stranger whome I don't even know.

 

With CRST you do NOT split the pay, you split the total miles..there is a difference...

 

I went with Crst's Training in IL and i just finished my training it was hard at first but if you keep moving and don't screw around at truck stops and are always on time with the loads then u make descent money the have a 3 yr old truck swap out so the oldest if ur a company driver would be 09
