Just think of it as "and adventure!" Actually, you probably got some very good experience out of this.
Glad you made it down off the mountain ok!

08:10 Leaving house as soon as windows defrost on my van. I'll pick up "Babe", warm up and be on the hill in about 45-50 minutes. I get on I-70 at #266. Jam's full of crap- it's bright and sunny this morning. I don't think I'll be chaining...

Not any more....just made a trip to 'the throne!' BTW, Wrecks, you can get there a lot faster if your turn your truck back around (nose 1st) and take it out of 'Reverse," ya know, the typical gear Liberals drive in...:biggrin_25522:

Haha, which one were you? I was the lone pumpkin driver there. I think I pulled in around 8 or so. Figured Wal Mart would be a GREAT place to stop (ie...bathroom breaks)...only problem was that it wasnt open 24 hours!
Then I woke up in the morning, to put chains on, one set fell off, then one of the trailer wheels was frozen...had to get under the trailer on the interstate and give it some love taps.

Whered you grow up in MN? Im from...Da Range.

Hey Ziggy I was born and raised on the Range too. Born in Rapids, grew up in Mountain Iron. That Wallyworld was pretty full. Left on Monday from Clearwater,MN heading for AL, drove through the second storm. Hell of a time to start driving! Well, we are overdue for a "real" winter. How long you been with Schneider?

Hibbing here. I left WM in the morning around 7ish or something. Made it back to Rock Springs around 10:30, 11. Luckily I missed the second storm as I was parked in town...did a transload later that night for an hour or so. Of course, then I had to run on Sunday to make up for missing Saturdays run. I run dedicated so usually Sunday and Monday are my days off.

You left on Monday? The storm was on friday afternoon / night.

I miss MN winters, these snows just blow away, don't pile up or anything. Of course, my truck obviously isnt a MN truck as it doesnt like starting up at 10 degrees.

Finished training about two months ago, been on this account for a month or so.
