Hey everyone! I need to know how long between "refresher" and applying for a job time gap the course is good for?:biggrin_2556:....Example; finish refresher course in January 18 2013 and apply for a Driving job February 18 2013 or so,or is that too long of a wait? 30 or 40 days is that too much of a gap? thats the only way i can do it with my current job (use my paid vacation time to get the week long course out of town done:biggrin_25522:..) before I appy/get invited to orientaion/give my 2 weeks notice. thanks in advance for any info!

when you upgrade you have to do there smith system training again which ive already done in orientation but i guess you have to take it again lol. then i think jsut get a truck and get a load through the house to get my stuff but most likely ill be out with the trainer for another week or so. really dont wanna push it more than a week otherwise i might go insane

I know what you mean about going insane, but some loads can be kinda tricky to secure (steel coils) or especially PVC pipe so its good to have the trainer show you how but i know he wont have time to show you all if he did you would go insane lol. a lot are common sense, and i'm sure you've got some.

yeah i did underground construction for 4.5 years so i have some experience chaining down excavators and drilling rigs and backhoes and things like that so im happy to have that in my favor but im only 23 so plenty of room to grow and mature and get better and better every single day that im here. also not sure if we will haul coils with my trainer cause he is an o/o and chooses his loads and he doenst like hauling them but when i do haul them ill just make sure i have plenty of chains to secure it. one thing ive learned above all else is to make sure its secure and even if someone else disagrees im gonna secure it with as much chain or straps as i feel comfortable with
