I have a 7900R in my F150 its a solid rig, and probably has more features than I could ever understand or use..

I'm tempted... (looks behind her at the box with three dual band mobiles, a 2m mobile, three Icom VHF-Hi commercial rigs, and a couple 900 MHz rigs not being used for anything...)
On second thought, probably not, though if I only had the scratch for the IC-7000... <fades away into thought>
Thanks for the heads up! -
I currently own the 7900 and I used to have the little brother to the 2900....which was the 2800....both are good radios. The 7900 you can detach the face and hide the main body under the seats, for easy install in even the most compact vehicles. The 2800/2900 are built very sturdy with thick heat sinks.

I'm still trying to figure out how to mount the Amplidyne Labs Model 621 tri-band VHF transmitter (plus VFO) shown in my avatar on my dashboard

P.S. Happy T-Day -
I sold 2 of the 2800's. I own a 2900, 2- FT-7800, FT-857D. The Yeasus are very good radios. And at this price one sure can't go wrong.

the 2900 says 75 watts but mine reads 100 on my meter

I'd get your meter checked...
