I've been to the meeting. There were no changes. They went over a couple things to help some things flow better. Couple reminders here and there to help on communication and stuff. No big deal or benefit changes at the meeting I attended.

My parttime weekend gig has me driving right past Poly-America's facility in Cottage Grove MN 10 times a shift. I see your rigs quite often coming and going to that facility. Always wondered about that place and then I stumbled upon this post. Its been very interesting reading through all of this thread and how us truckers come together and help one another. Interesting to see where you guys all go and who you haul to (Wal-mart, BJ's Wholesale, etc). Thanks guys!

@timbo50 , I thought 1st you needed to do a round tripper and home same day for about a 4 hr interview?
Did they do that?
Also to any poly drivers that may be able to touch on what Ed Miles told me a few hrs ago. He told me the flat rate is 48cpm the $59 a day per diem is in addition to your 48cpm and 30 drp+HK pay. I find myself between a real rock and a hard place here. And really need some info from jdrentzjr if ya have a little time , I know you've been there a little bit now . Spent 2 or 3 hrs the other night reading here. Didn't start acting prematurely on a hope I'd get a call back , but I got it. I'm 51 yrs old and been beating the blacktop since 88. I'm gonna watch to see if you're here and reply tonight. I'd PM ya but til you say to , I'll just drop a line here. Hope to here from ya. -
The $59 per diem is NOT in addition to the .48 p/m. I'm not totally sure how the per diem is exacted, but I will give a simple example. A 1000 mile round trip takes two days. 1000x .48= 480-118{59x2)= 362 (taxable)
- 10% (tax rate)= 326+118 {add back non-taxable per diem)=$444 net pay.
I'll be on the yard tomorrow night. Truck is due for PM so I'll be on the yard Wednesday as well. I'll try to catch up with the orientation class & go to lunch with you new guys. -
