Roehl Trainers Check- in/ New Roehl Drivers Check-in

No email or phone call for me yet, hope its not a trend!

 

Generally yes freight does slow done a Little due to weather not normally for can buy it does happen. I was wanting to switch to flatbed but there capped out and a fleet manager retired, but back to van srry get side tracked there's a little shortage on trucks not say there are none but that amount of driver we've been getting has put a shortage on trucks so that another reason why.

Nottoway, I just spoke to my recruiter and she told me that they are on hold til the 31st like you said. I am just waiting for them to get my DOT physical back and then I will be scheduled. I was hoping for the 10th in Ellenwood but now it will probably be the 31st. Bright side..I get to be home for Christmas.

 

I don't know ... she told me ALL training locations for van are on hold to the 31st.

 

Here is what my recruiter said in her email to me regarding the reason for putting van training on hold until Dec. 31st:

"Freight is running a little slow at this time, and is due to the economy-waiting to see what Congress will do before the end of the year."

Anyway. like Ace says, at least we're guaranteed of being home for all of Christmas holiday. (She did confirm that we will train straight thru New year's day though.)

Hey Ace, since they told me I'd me traveling by rental car to Ellenwood, maybe they'll have me swing by Raleigh to pick you up when heading down on the 30th?

 

Finally met my trainer and we are currently sitting in palatka waiting on loaf. Feels good to be out here making some mo.eu.

 

Never know, I am hoping to hear from them by the end of the week to give me my date of orientation. How long did it take you from when you took your physical to get the call to set up a date for orientation? I know I was delayed due to the thanksgiving but the wait just to have a date is killing me.

 

Still playing the waiting game for a trainer. They told me yesterday my trainer wud be calling me that night. Never did so I called her today like she told me too an she said he fell thro an he couldn't do it. So she said someone else shud be calling me tonite or tomorrow morning. She wants me to call her tomorrow afternoon if I don't hear anything.
