I am looking at being an owner operator. Frankly I'm tired of sharing a truck with dirty people and driving junk. I want to get a good truck and fix it up and keep it clean majorly. Right now I have a dedicated run that puts me home 6 nights out of the week. I would like to keep this schedule. I am based out of Roanoke VA and would like to stay there. Roanoke is a big logging area, is logging good business to start in?
possible new owner operator

Put 50 grand in the bank and when you are ready to loose it in a very short time, perhaps 2 months, try it. There are lots of threads on here for the information you are seeking.

Logging and clean dont go together

Logging is tough on trucks...if you spec the truck wrong, it'll clean you out in a hurry though.
