I agree that you have good and bad apples. I am a broker and I pay 90% of the gross to my drivers, but sometimes the shippers are not even paying good for the freight. So to all drivers unless we stop hauling for pennies on the dollar the good folks out there can not give good money if it is not there to give. I give my drivers the rate confirmation if they ask so I can show them that I have nothing to hide from them, try asking them for the sheet of how much they are getting paid and see what they tell you.

    No way dude No way
Last month I was looking for a load in oklahoma city,ok
And what do ya know ??
Found a load in internet stuckups Load Board:biggrin_25510:

So I called this Broker to ask about this load ( Ok city to NY )
guess who was the broker? Salmon Trucking out of Missoula MT

He told me more information about the load and he said
{QUOTE The Driver Must Be a US Born Citizen}:biggrin_2557:

NOT a US Citizen as most polite people would say

I Guess If you are a US Citizen a US Veteran and YOU Were Born Outside the Country
You Are Not American enough to haul this Load:biggrin_25514:

By Now What Kind Of Load Is This:biggrin_25510:

    Crane Mats That's It:biggrin_25513:

It seems like you need a top secret clearance to haul crane mats these days
Maybe not by every carrier standards :biggrin_255:

So I Said to this wna be an American But Don't know how
You Mean To Tell Me That You Have to be a White BOY to haul this load?:biggrin_25515:
    I specifically Said white boy
to see if this idiot would also exclude the ladies from this load:biggrin_2556:

And this Shmukkkk Said to me { That is what my customer wants } :biggrin_2559:

needless to say I was so sick of salmon trucking and their kind of brokers that
we pulled out our insurance certificate from them

We No Longer Haul their Loads Not Now Not Ever

It is a darn shame that a Beautiful State Like Montana seem to host the most venomest
    low lives in America

Just finished dealing with interstate brokers out of st pete fl. Called got a rate on a load after agreeing to the rate they called back and said they had made a mistake and had to reduce the rate by $100. Not a lot of money but it is the point that they verbally agreed to this rate and before sending a load confirm they tried to pull a fast one. Probaby kept brokering load and found someone cheaper. I will hesitate to do business with them in the future. If they will do that what else are they capable of?

As a company driver for Poly-Trucking, a private carrier, I'm dispatched on reloads using brokers. I have no idea what the loads pay but I can write about how we are treated by the brokers we use. We haul a lot for Coyote, Transplace, TTS, Barton Logistics, and a few others. I've never had any issues with any of the afore mentioned brokers/logistics. Always given good information to shipper and receiver. All the people I've delt with at these companies have been nice and professional.

I misquoted a load the Tuesday before Thanksgiving on a Monday morning pick following Thanksgiving weekend $700 on 182 miles straight thru pick and drop with one of my go-to brokers. Was a one off load I had never hauled before but in my lane. Got the call and offer at 10am in the morning from waking up out of bed at home. No computer booted up to quick check route/miles or anything. Delivered to a town where I knew I could sometimes get a same day $400 load 106 miles that put me on top of another easy short $400 load. So I'm half asleep, she runs the miles for me, and I quote $700 on the spot. I really needed $725-750 after getting up and checking but it worked out good and still made money at 700. I was ticked at myself for dropping the ball there but it was my own fault. Never occurred to me calling herr back and saying I need $50 more sorry I misquoted you. My word was 700 it's not her fault I screwed up even though it would have still went on my truck at the right price of $750 right from the start if I had asked. If a broker calls me back and says I misquoted you driver you'll have to do it for 50 or a 100 less that's when I'll say ok find another truck and then never work with that agent again. Your word is everything. When you say you'll do something do it..... and don't trifle over $50 or $100 that is lame...

Racism would die if people would just let it. It's sad that all these years after everything Dr. King fought for that it's still brought up in daily conversation.

I do not know all the details about the poster talking about being a U.S. born citizen. But maybe where the matts were going had a set rule due to what ever they have at that site.
I do haul some miltary lds. and my wife can not go in. She is not a citizen. Has green card and social security number though.

Yes I agree but I misspook about details when calling for info I received the quote of 700 and said ok to that rate for my truck when I called back for load confirm the rate had been reduced. Not a big deal but at time I was attempting to get truck out of florida and when I thought I had and come to find out I hadnt I was more upset than I should have been. But kind of irked me is all.
