Personally i dont have any serious gripes with IRT, but i just dont like the whole favoritism i understand guys have been here "x" amount of years and have their seniority (more power to them), i just dont have the time to wait for them guys to die off (not to be an "A" hole about it) so that the playing field can be equal.

The favoritism their is unlike any other irt never bothered me it has its positives and negatives, i miss being otr sometimes but when i do i just think about oj's and dispacthers like chris who are brain dead and the urge goes away.
Flip Flops Thanks this. -
Also if you think 700 miles straight through the night is a favor, your wrong. At most co.'s maybe but At IRT it would be more like straight through from Dallas To Central Ca. and then Back.

Come on, in today's day n age there is no way a company can expect something of this of you! If they did, it would only take 1 person with a good lawyer to snip that crap in the butt!!!! Them asking you to do something like this and FORCING you to do it is just 2 different things, and if you choose to run like that, then well.....suffer the quilt when your caught. I find it hard to believe that in todays electronic age and the age of csa that pushing someone like that is still accecpted. However, my dr now wants me off the road for another 3 months just to be sure about my back and to fully get the meds out of my system before getting back out there, so by then I'll have almost 1 1/2 yr off the road. We'll see in 3 months where my path leads me! Hope you've found a better palce since IRT socal, stay safe!

Yeah. Well, the way I ran there is my problem no one elses. But from your response, now you see why I said you wouldn't like it there.
Cyanide Thanks this. -
They wont ask us to do anything illegal, but this is how the convo normally goes..
Hey can you do me a favor?
Does it involve me drop'n my pants and bending over the fifth wheel?
Naw, not at all..
What is it?
We got this load of organic milk that needs to be in Shippenburg, Pa by Monday.
Ya do know it's 4pm Friday right?
Yeah.
Well what's the problem?
It's in Wisconsin.
Well I'm in Indiana, it'll take me 8hrs just to get there to pick it up.
Well we just need it pick'd up "asap" <that's pretty much when you know it's offically a favor.
Hell driver already burnt 8hr that day running a load of milk from Michigan down to Indian, and now they want to know if they can make it to Wisconsin and then back across the country to Pa 60hrs. And dont forget you need to squeeze a 34hr reset in there somewhere so you can keep on rolling for the rest of the week. -
I was just wondering how many miles that is from dallas to ca and back. Looks like about 3000 round tripsocal Thanks this.
-
That loads in chaseburg wi and is a one day run and they give you 2 days to get their and shippensburg mostly takes it at night by appt only
-
That is not a one day run, even if you started from the shipper at midnight. It's a two day run unless you have a cooler full of redbull and a midget mexican poll dancer in your lap to keep you awake. It was really only an issue for me because i was almost 8hrs away from pickup and had already burnt 5hrs of my drive clock that day. It was around 5pm and they want'd me to pick it up before 2am the next day. It made it to Shippensburg, Pa way ahead of schedule and Ashley unload'd me because she said i was cute and not rude like most drivers.

They give you 2 days to get their i did that run plenty of times 750 miles 2 days to get their
