Ok, I inquired again after reading your post asking is my Dec. 31st orientation date a sure thing. Here's her reply:
"We have been told that Dec 31[SUP]st[/SUP] is a sure Orientation date and you have a spot reserved for that date. Freight has slowed down a little earlier this year, so we are not holding Orientation for van drivers until the beginning of the year when freight will pick up. We may be booking into jan 7[SUP]th[/SUP] soon."
Hope I don't have to go to one of my fallback options, although I'm still holding onto 7 more preHires.

-
I'm sure it will be a wait but I'm okay with that since I can go back to my old job while I wait.

Is it worthwhile to wait on employment with Roehl?
Seems like the change in orientation dates brings in some concerns, and then, if the orientation takes place, will there be trainers available?
I can wait it out if necessary, and the better half likes the idea of me being home for Christmas, but is it smarter to start the search for another company now? Don't get me wrong, I hear good things about Roehl...they are my first choice, but there are some concerns...any comments? -
id say go ahead and get your name in the hat and get a date set...sounds like its going to be after christmas till they take any new guys anyways...id at least call and talk to a recruiter and be sure
Flyboy1127 Thanks this. -
I'm scheduled for the Dec 31 orientation and I am Midwest regional van. Already have everything lined up, physical finished and rental car confirmation. Anyone else for sure on Dec 31?
