I had a 320 mile Deadhead yesterday. That's about the extent of my weird moves for the week.

My current load was 320 miles Deadhead from Carlisle to Norfolk, VA. Then 675 miles from Norfolk to Wilton, NY. Except they are only showing it as paying 295 miles of deadhead and 530 miles loaded. They managed to short me 170 miles on this load.

I'm going to be calling my DBL about it tomorrow morning before I go for delivery. I can understand 20-30 miles every now and then, but almost 200 miles short is unacceptable.

The only way I can figure it for 530 miles from Norfolk to Wilton is using the Garden State Parkway which you can't take a truck on. Also used the Hampton Roads Beltway bridge/tunnel in Norfolk and the QC was not happy about doing that. It actually gave me a system error when I hit reroute once I passed the last exit before it and told me to call ops to get help with avoiding the tunnel. Yet in the atlas and all other signs around it the tunnel is an acceptable route for trucks and even seems to allow some HazMat after an inspection. The Bridge/Tunnel route was 25 miles shorter than taking I-664 around the city.

I'd be curious to read as to how your DBL reconciles the mileage discrepancies. Keep us posted, please. Thanks and be safe.

Gave him a call about this. He just asked me for the names of a few major cities along the route and will update the millage to be closer to the actual distance.

    Update:
About an hour later I got a message from him showing that he had updated it to 677 paid instead of 530. Actual distance was around 650 so it all worked out in the end.

By company policy, if you don't abide by their rules at least while in the OC, you can be removed and shipped out on a Greyhound. They don't play. It's a known fact that many people will run to take your seat in your truck. Drivers are a dime a dozen now-a-days.

Him having an ear piece in his ear walking around talking on his phone at an oc isn't against company policy and they can try to take my seat but they have to finish this lease lol
