Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Well made it up to Blaine about 1915 and discovered they unload until around 2100 so I was able to get shed of my cargo tonight so I will be ready to roll in the morning. A pretty tedious day, particularly once I hit I-90. Snoqualmie was getting a little snow and the traffic was fairly heavy well above Seattle with constant rain so a fairly slow slog. Working with recapped hours tomorrow so should be a few relatively short days while I try to even them out.

 

Ok, I sent in a message to be put on Wednesday's board shortly after I read your Post. I'll call on the Bobtail pass in the morning. I believe I'm going to check out that free stay as well. Picking up down the road in Bellingham, WA and heading to Dallas. Should be there by Friday morning and then probably taking a 34 so I can attend the driver meeting on Saturday night and perhaps get a new laptop from the Sams Club shopping day.

 

You have all the moves JD , I dunno if i'll hear from upper mngmnt or not , Ed hit me up for the phone interview last Monday. He ask me about when I'd be able to come for the face to face if called. My reply , was if this week , I'd move when they need me to. Then told him next Monday I'm scheduled for Shaffer orientation. His reply : " oh god " ! I told him I'm still real interested , but have to get working again and right now Shaffer allows that . Then , on Thursday I E-mailed him to reiterate my interest in Poly , and said I really hoped he did dump my app , because of having an interview lined up.
I may have screwed myself up with that , he never replied to my E-mail.

 

when did you send in your 1st app am starting to think i am getting passed over i dont hear much of anything from ed and it looks like on here others that sent in app after i did are getting calls got 2 other places i can do apps 1 reefer and 1 almost outlaw but poly was my 1st pick am about to give up on poly

 

Make sure you don't miss that meeting. I missed all three last year, but since my runs never went anywhere near GP, no points got put on me. I heard that a driver left GP the day before a meeting to go wait over at the Hutchins Love's. His truck broke down and he missed it!

Hey JD, you were right on the money with what I needed to do. I made it to Henderson just fine. Oh yes, and I ran 4100 miles from last Monday to this Monday. Always wanted to get a 4000 mile week and I did it! Anyways, I called for a Bobtail pass but ended up having to get it from outbound. No problem getting it from them. I was impressed with the facilities at Henderson. Interesting where the place is located. I went right in and dropped the trailer. Took a quick look around and then used my Bobtail pass to get back out. Headed to the Casino where I'm up $50 so far. I will be checking into that free night stay at the Hacienda tomorrow.
