Due to a book keeping fluke I got two checks this week a negitive one, with only my deductions and a positive one with only my revenue less fuel. Anywho the first created a nice list of all of my fixed costs that I thought would be useful. Note there is some life insurance in there and excessive milage so it is not guarenteed to be what you will see. Also for thoes who said they have never seen a positive excessive milage there is one on this. Hope it helps.

Is it bad that I am ridiculously happy to get my laundry done before I run out of clothes to wear? I don't know why it puts me in such a good mood. I only have maybe two weeks worth of laundry but it feels good to get it out of the way. Now if I could just find someone to detail my truck for under $20 I would be in the holiday spirit! Lol. Merry Xmas y'all. Go Cowboys!

Its the small things in life that help the most. Good job seeing the good in things. I'm not cleaning your truck, but I'll buy you a coffee. Like Pilot on fb and they have free drink coupons.
How's this for a dispacher (night shift) Hello I just noticed you are routing us to ut. My student still needs 26 hours to upgrade and its only 800miles away, can you adjust the load or find us something else? Dispatcher "Do your flashers work? 800mi in 26hrs is like 30mph right?"
Are they hurting for drivers so bad they want me to be a passenger for 2.5 days in a truck only going 30mph? What a dumb #####.Lady K and Arkansas Frost Thank this. -
Moose, you remember who you work for AND its night shift.
-
Night shift is a joke. "You helped me out so much, night shift. I'm glad I called" said no one ever.
Arkansas Frost Thanks this. -
Hello Everyone,
I was just wondering how many people give up an office job to go to Trucking. Im thinking of applying back to Central and see if they will let me come. Here's the skinny about a year ago i was set to go to central had travel plans set up and everything was a go.Well at the last minute my company offered me raise to 16.00 an hour and an office job. Thought it was good at the time i mean a 2 dollar an hour raise and two weeks vacation every year. So i called and said i wasn't coming. Anyhow now it seems not only do i do my office job taking orders via phone, email, internet i get to help fill orders when the order picker cant keep up(my old job).Oh and don't tell the boss he's wrong or made a mistake cause somehow its your fault anyway. I guess im thinking of going back on the road so i don't have to deal with the office politics and bs from the boss and be able to still make a decent wage, right now im grossing 38k but bringing home 25k. i would need to attend the school due to the fact I've been away from trucking for 4 years. anyway just wondering what you all thought. The wife supports me in whatever i want to do just might be tough on my daughters age 6 and 2. -
Yeah, something about four or five people trying to help 2,000 people at once when they haven't even bothered to learn how to operate the new Qualcomm has encouraged me to learn how to fix my own problems quickly!

I did this exact thing, except I didn't save any money first. Sold my car and truck to keep the bike and the house and still ended up almost three months behind on everything. Word to the wise. If you're going to do this, it will eventually work out. But plan on making minimum wage for about two months and prepare accordingly. I'm extremely happy I made the decision to leave my old job. I just balanced my checkbook, paid all my bills online, and cleaned my truck up. I haven't spoken to dispatch since Friday and I managed (so far) to keep my family happy back home. Worked in a surprise visit this weekend that was awesome. Anyway, save money or find a way to have your bills covered for at least two months, just in case.
