Man, truck stops to large company ratio here sucks. There is JBHT, PAM, USA, SRT, Maveric, Schnider, ABF, tons of Allied and North American van lines, CalArk, and probably more than I can remember. Parking in Arkansas sucks!!!
I found a REAL truckstop

You ain't kidding; last time through I ended up parking at a Wally-world about 40 miles west of W Memphis, everywhere else was full!

WOW, I haven't seen such SERVICE in years !!!Thanks for posting ! I think Travel Center CEO's NEED to READ & LEARN !!!
I will definitely try to stop here ! -
The Giant near Gallup had that sort of a deal going on. You'd pull in to full-service pumps. That wasn't a bad place at all. Big lot, nice showers, post office, fairly good restaurants, good shop, Interstate trucking company RV with recruiters begging for drivers.....

Steve & Lo, i wanna hear the story of the smiths grove bp! just curious

Your strike has been on for a while hasn't it?
The Giant is now a Pilot, you can guess what it is like now. -
Well...I was running from home to Louisville 5 nights a week....and the Smiths Grove BP just happened to be about 1/2 way....and we(myself & some of my other Freight Hauler Buddies) got in the habit of meeting up there and running on up to Louisville.... We would see the guys that were heading to Nashville.... a lot of the same guys every night....and the people that run the place treated us like family....and it wasn't long before they kind of became 2nd family to some of us too! Soooo we got in the habit of stopping there.....I did this for 3 years straight..... Only thing I ever got in there that I wouldn't recommend was some home made vegetable soup one time.....everything else I ever got from there was excellent! And over about 6 years of running up and down that road.....the last 3 were kinda off and on......they never treated any of us bad. We'd go in and it felt like we were walking into "Cheers". It's not the newest place...and could stand some modernizing.....but, I don't think you could go anywhere and feel more like you were at a "REAL Truck stop".
And during Spring Break......The view is AWESOME!!! -
i love real truck stops. now after seeng these two threads about this i am gonna start paying attention to where the ones i go to are and write them down for here.

Well, have you ever been to the BP in London, Ky? Nobody pumping fuel.. but the restaurant has about six or seven 50 something hillbilly women cooking up some real fine vittles. I always enjoy that one.
