they're short on van trainers this week, or maybe long on flatbed. i told them i'd take on a van student. the work is useful and interesting, but i'd just as soon run the lumpers over.

I passed the Survey and it does make you feel conflicted while taking it because all of the answer choices may seem plausible. I tried to think in terms of which answer would typically be of most benefit to the company. For instance, whether or not to stop at the scene of an accident, I answered, "No, keep driving" (whether or not that was the correct response, I don't know, but as stated, I did score well on it). My thinking was that in stopping, you increase the company's liability (and your own) in many aspects.
Now, would there be exceptions to this general rule in actual practice? Of course, but on the survey you have to choose a response without regard to all the possible scenarios that may come to mind. Honestly, after taking the survey, I had no idea as to whether or not I "passed" it. Also, I think there is probably a consistency factor built into it meaning that you will have more than one question that relates to the same concept. If you give contradictory responses to those, if would probably count against you.

Me and a buddy were gonna go roehl, we both took the questionnaire and the recruiter said I did good, they told him they are looking for someone with "commitment to the company". Now we both answered the questions with safety in mind. He got laid off after 27 years with the local school district. Now what do you call commitment? He's a little bummed and the recruiter said she couldn't necessarily explain why it said that just that's the way it is.

I passed the survey and strongly agree with this. Even on the safety ones where the choices seemed equally important, the tie breaker for me was "In the worst case, which choice is more likely to end up with a picture of a Roehl rig on the local evening news?"
