Maybe I can park and walk as long as my legs will carry me that far.

Louise's place is pure old-school truckstop. No frills, tons of old truck company logos plastered throughout the place - companies that haven't seen the light of day for 20 or 30 years. Cash only, food's been good, the truck parking can get a bit tight and the lot is mostly dirt/gravel, but worth a stop in at least once to check it out.

I was able to park on the hard surface at the east end of their building every time I've been there. Never been bothered by lizards, either...then again, my woman travels with me 90% of the time, so maybe they know better (she will pour out a can of whoop-### on them).

The food is good at Midway, reasonably priced, and the servers/waitresses have mostly been there before I was born. Nice place, especially in comparison to your standard cookie-cutter T/A, Petro, Pilot, etc.

Chris' diner is very good. Spent a few days at the Trexler Truck stop the week before Hurricane Sandy blew in and Chris' made the stay bearable.

I found that place by accident and made it a regular stop. Welcome relief to the standard truckstop fare. True old time. Saw some truck logos I hadn't seen in quite some time including an old St. Johnsbury Trucking logo from my neck of the woods. I encourage everyone to try it once. The part about the parking is true. It can be a hassle.

Speaking of old school in PA. Not on I-78, but RT 22 in PA...over by Altoona, Munster, Ebensburg area there used to be one called "The Keystone" I think. I heard it burned. Did they rebuild?

I've eaten there a few times in the past, agree it's good. Also Trexler showers were decent and only $5 if not fueling..
